story; Happiness/Sadness Room (Rose/Lily)

this is really old (from about a year ago)...but I figured since I'm on my computer at home (& it seems to be corporating nicely), I'd post some old stuff on my computer...just so I had SOMETHING else on here!
I believe you've read this before...but...here ya go! :)

Rose Collins peered into her younger brother, Elliot’s room. Or at least it was his room for a few years…before he was killed. Rose entered the room and only saw sadness. She glanced at the newly painted walls which were a lovely shade of green, the new drapes that hung perfectly above the window, flowing in every direction as wind blew in. She sat on the new comforter her older sister had put on the bed. It was a light green color with white silhouettes of birds throughout the fabric of the comforter. She bounced up and down on it. While it was the same bed, just different comforter…something felt different about it. It wasn’t the same bed she remembered constantly jumping on when she was younger. Rose couldn’t believe she agreed to decorate this room. So many memories that were once here in this room were gone now. She quickly exited the room quietly.

Rose’s older sister, Lily Collins headed into that very same room. While Rose had felt sad about Elliot’s room being transformed, Lily was pleased with it. All of our hard work paid off, she thought. Where Rose had seen sadness, Lily saw nothing but happiness. She felt that the new light green colors really made the room much more cheery then what they previously were. She looked at every newly redecorated item in this room and was pleased with their work. In fact she was glad that she had decided to revamp this room. Rose would come around, I’m sure of it. Lily thought.
And with that she quietly exited the room.
