Story; That One Night (Laurel/Arianna)

I might have posted this somewhere awhile again (originally in a close 3rd POV of Lily's) but I decided to change it in Laurel's POV; same story, just different POV/couple! :)
I'm personally not that fond of it, but whatevs. it's kinda canon?

It was around eight o’clock on a Saturday night and Will, myself, a bunch of his friends, Arianna, and Lewis, were taking our Mom free night to our advantage. There we all were, currently sitting in our living room, hanging out on our white couch and identical matching two chairs. I know it’s white because of the fact that we’ve had the same furniture ever since I became blind at age 12. My Mom didn‘t even move anything an inch away from its original position, afraid that would confuse me.
All of us were pretty unsure of what to do with ourselves on this weekend night.
“Where did Mom go anyway?” I asked Will, while digging my hands into a bag of cheetos that was lying on the glass coffee table right in front of me..
“Some fancy dinner place for some meeting, I forgot the name.” Will responded. By the sound of Will’s voice it sounded like he was sitting further away from the couch, perhaps on the floor.
“Say, when do you think she’ll be back?” Ben Wood said, who was one of Will’s fellow swim team members. Even though I couldn’t see his facial expression, I could hear the sly like a snake way he spoke and knew he was up to something. Ben Wood was your typical 16 year old boy that when given the opportunity, he would party and drink to his heart’s content. He was definitely the rebellious one in the group.
“She probably won’t be back until tomorrow morning since the meeting is way off in downtown area so she’s staying at a hotel for the night,“ Will said.
“Excellent.”
I heard the squeaky sound of someone getting up off our white couch. Then I hear footsteps walking on our plush carpet and onto the tiled floor of our kitchen.
“I don’t like the tone of your voice.” I stated.
“Yeah, me neither. What are you doing?” Will sat up concerned. Being the “Man of the House”, Will didn’t want our house to get damaged or destroyed. Or that could have just been because he was “looking after me”, even though I don’t need looking after.
“I thought I’d take this marvelous opportunity of fate to get our party on!” Ben let out a loud whoop, which I assumed proceeded with extending his arms straight out in the air with excitement.
“Laurel, where does your Mom keep the liquor?”
“Ben! No!” Will yelled. When it suited him, Will was often times the most rational and more cautious then his friends. He never wanted to do anything that would get him in trouble.
Ben didn’t even care, I just kept on hearing him walk in the direction he thought the alcohol would be.
Squeak. I heard the far left bottom cupboard being open. He had found our Mom’s liquor stash.
“Jackpot!”
I believe there was a bottle of Absolut vodka, Barcadi rum, and a few unknown ones.
I felt the sudden vibrations of Will springing out of his spot on the carpeted floor next to his other friend and Ben’s brother, James Wood, and marched over to where Ben was. “No! We are not having a raging party!”
I moved my head in the position of where I assumed Will and Ben were, “C’mon Will. It’s not like fifty people are going to be here! It’s just us. Mom won’t be home until like noon the next day! What could it hurt?” The lack of anyone speaking meant they were probably staring at me with confusion. Just because I’m blind, doesn’t mean I don’t want to have some fun once in a while.
“Yeah, Will.” Julia Simmons seductive voice could be heard in the direction of Will and Ben now. “It could be fun.”
Thinking about Julia said (or more like the way Julia said it) , Will eventually agreed. “Okay, I guess it’d be fun.”
“Alright!” Ben yelled. The sound of clinking glass was off in the distance as he grabbed as many bottles as he could with both hands.

After an hour or so of sipping rum and cokes and voka in our pristine living room, everyone was pretty drunk. I’m sure Ben was cuddling with someone, Lewis & I were loudly discussing something science related, and I could hear Julia talk nonstop to Will while she continued to drink sips of her drink.
“Guys!” Julia staggered up off the couch, away from Will, almost immediately falling back down because of her drunken state. “We should play spin the bottle!”
“No!” Will yelled almost instantly.
“C’mon, it’ll be fun! I vote a yes!” Ben said. I could hear him chugging the remains of his beer bottle to use as said bottle in the game. “I’m sure all you fine ladies are just dying to kiss me!”
“Ew gross!” Arianna muttered, who was sitting right next to me, her head resting on my shoulder.
I smiled at her.
“Of course you wouldn’t!“ Ben said. “Man, sometimes you can be such a le-“
“Let’s play!” Arianna moved fast off the couch, accidentally causing me to spill my drink, which was a rum and coke.
“Annie!”
Without a second to lose, Arianna bent down to grab my now empty cup, and try to clean up the spilled soda. “I’m so sorry, Lil.”
“That’s…that’s okay.”
Man, I wish I could see how she looked. I bet she looks really pretty tonight. Wait, what am I saying?
“As much as I’d love to see some girl on girl action, can we get on with the game?” Ben said.

“Go! Go! Go!” chanting from our little group of friends was heard throughout the living room, heck maybe even the whole street.
The beer bottle was spinning around and around on the piece of cardboard they placed on the living room carpet. Everyone was wondering who it was going to land on. The bottle started to move slower and slower.
Everyone was on the edge of their seats.
“Oh!” the bottle had stopped.
“Who did it stop on?” I asked, hoping I wasn’t slurring my speech by this point.
“It landed on Julia!” Arianna answered for me, who now had her arm around me. Friends do that sort of thing though, right?
“Awkward!” A drunk Lewis yelled out, while still trying to clutch his rum and coke. “You two have to kiss!”
The person who spun the bottle was Ben, Julia‘s ex.
“Whatever! It’s just a kiss!” Julia said. She pulled James closer to her by tucking on his shirt collar. Then while still grasping onto him, she planted a kiss on him.
At least that’s what I can only assume based on the sounds of lips smacking and utter silence.
When she pulled back, she started laughing.
“What’s so funny?” Ben asked.
“You.” Julia continued laughing, her laugh getting further away from laying down on the floor.
Bam! “Ow!” her head must have hit our creaky wood floor. Yeah, our carpet doesn’t do much to sustain from head injuries.
“Can we continue the game?” Lewis asked, as he finished off his cheery coke and vodka.
“It’s my turn!” I said, rather excitedly I might add.
When Arianna saw I was having trouble locating the brown beer bottle, she grabbed my hand in here’s and said, “Here let me help you.”
I almost jumped out of my seat from the sudden close contact. Arianna’s hands were soft and warm, not clammy and dry like mine.
When my hand was now grasping the glass bottle, she removed her hand from mine. Immediately, my hand became cold from the fan that was briskly moving on the ceiling.
I spun the bottle around, holding my breath while doing so.
“Not Lewis, not Lewis, not Lewis…” I said under my breath. Lewis was a nice guy and all, but I only see him as a friend…that’s all.
The bottle began to slow down, until it finally landed on someone.
“Who did I land on?” I asked.
“Ari-anna.” Will said. I noticed he said her name slow, like he didn’t like the way this game was suddenly heading.
Apart of me was happy that this happened, I love Arianna as a friend, but do I really want to risk our friendship over a kiss?
Ben spit out his drink. “Hot!”
“Ow!” Will must have nudged his arm.
“What? It would be. Plus, I’m sure Arianna would enjoy it.”
Someone else punched him this time. Probably Will again.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to. Everyone gets one pass.” Will said all big brotherly to me.
I lightly grabbed onto Arianna‘s upper leg and squeezed, unsure of what to do.
Obviously I couldn’t see Arianna’s expression but the emotion of shock comes to mind.
“I’m going to…pass,” I heard myself saying.
“It’d be too hot for these people anyway,” Arianna stated. I could hear the smile in her voice and that made me glad of my decision.
“Yeah and too gross.” Will chimed in.
I glanced at Will’s direction disapprovingly.
“I just don’t want to see my sister making out with anybody, is all.”
Both Arianna and I ignored that remark and we continued to play spin the bottle.
*****
After spin the bottle fissed out, everyone pretty much passed out.
Arianna and myself were the only people still awake. We stood up off the couch and Arianna began to look at everyone. She told me that everyone was paired off with someone, except Will who had the couch to himself.
Surprisingly Julia and Ben were cuddling together in the far left corner, she said.
“Wow, we sure know how to party.” Arianna said while examining the now destroyed living room.
Arianna said there were red cups scattered around the floor and spilled alcohol on the table.
I could definitely smell the stench of vomit that was vaguely smelled throughout the room.
“Thanks for cleaning this up with me. I kinda want to do it now rather then in the morning.” I said. I started walking around, walking cane in hand, picking up each red cup or other piece of garbage I could feel within my reach and threw it in the bag on my left .
“It’s fine. I could use some Arianna and Laurel time anyway. But first…” I could hear the sounds of a glass bottle being lifted off our coffee table, the sounds of glass making a clank noise. “It’s the bottle of UV blueberry vodka we had. There’s about two shot fulls left.“ I could hear Arianna taking long gulps of the alcoholic beverage. After swallowing the smooth substance she said, “Screw being sober. Here, you can have the rest.” She placed the bottle in my hands, so I wouldn’t have to worry about trying to actually get the bottle.
I didn’t even hesitate. I took the bottle in my hands and finished off my shot full.
After I swallowed my bit, I let out a soft chuckle. “You corrupt me.”
“I try.” I could tell Arianna was smiling when she said this.
I dropped the garbage bag that was in my hands and sat on the coffee table, touching the coffee table’s glass surface, making sure not to sit in anything wet or gross. “Fuck being sober.”
Arianna sat down next to me. “I can tell you’re still drunk. You swear a hell of a lot more when you’re drunk.” Arianna giggled and put her head on my shoulder.
“I have a confession to make.” I stated.
“What is it?”
“I wanted to kiss you doing spin the bottle. I wanted to kiss you so bad. I just didn’t know…”
“Didn’t know what people would think. I get it. I’ve been there before.”
“I still want to kiss you. And I don’t know what the fuck it means.”
“It doesn’t have to mean anything.”
“But I can’t be into girls. I‘m blind, I can‘t even see what you look like!”
“Not everything is about physical attraction you know. Sometimes how you feel about the person emotionally plays an effect.” Arianna paused; probably to look at me. “Maybe, possibly, you could be gay you know.”
“No…no I can’t.”
Both of our attentions were interrupted by Ben groaning on the floor.
Arianna whispered in my ear. “Let’s go upstairs to your room.”
I nodded in approval.
Arianna grabbed my hand and lead me upstairs to my room.
Unlike Will’s room, my room was a bright shade of blue (the color it’s always been) with a nice full sized bed with blue and white floral pattern located in the far right hand corner, a dresser, posters of celebrities she adored such as Dianna Agron and Paul Wesley, and had an overall cool vibe unlike my older brother Will’s unpainted and drab room.
“Your room is so cute!” Arianna said, the instance she walked in. She ran and jumped on my bed.
She noticed the poster of Dianna Agron that was on my closet door that I convinced my Mom to put up for me.
“Um, Laur, Dianna Agron?”
“She’s a great role model, okay?” I immediately responded back.
Arianna giggled. She patted the bed with her hand motioning for me onto the bed as if I was a mini yellow lab.
I instantly walked over to my bed, plopped down and rested my head on Arianna’s chest. I wasn’t even aware of why I was doing this. I was never this assertive.
It’s probably the alcohol, I thought.
